As family farmers, sustainability has always been an important part of our Ethos at Wood Brothers Distillery.

  • Our Aim

    We feel our responsibility extends far beyond our immediate environment and have included ambitious sustainability targets within our long term strategy. We aim to become more sustainable through not only reducing our inputs and unnecessary outputs but reusing as much as we possibly can, and making it easier for our customers to do so as well.

  • Distilling

    Distilling is not an energy efficient process, heating and cooling are both essential to traditional distilling methods, this sadly requires a lot of energy and can often lead to vast quantities of waste water. One of the ways Wood Brothers has sought to improve our sustainability is through recycling this waste water and using it to heat our greenhouses and even the distillery buildings.

  • Refill pouches- environmental and economic sustainability

    We aim to become more sustainable through not only reducing our inputs but reducing our energy use through reusing byproducts of distilling to heat our buildings Our aim is to reduce any negative environmental impact whilst remaining economically sustainable and socially responsible. Our goal is to become the leading supplier of inherently sustainable packaging.

  • Our Performance

    Both metal and glass are permanent materials and are therefore infinitely recyclable without any loss of properties. As part of functional engagements with our customers, our team addresses key sustainability challenges such as climate change, water stewardship and responsible sourcing.
